How does consent capture work?
Every form submission records exactly what the user consented to, when they consented, and from what IP address. This record is immutable and exportable.
What is data retention and why does it matter?
Data retention policies define how long you keep personal data. Regulations often require you to delete data after a certain period. FavForm automates this.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers. Enterprise customers can choose their data region.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export form responses, consent records, and audit logs at any time in multiple formats.
What happens when I delete a form?
You choose: delete all associated data immediately, or retain it according to your retention policy. Either way, you have full control.
How do you prevent spam and fake submissions?
We use multiple layers of protection: IP-based rate limiting for all plans, plus advanced browser fingerprinting and honeypot fields for Pro and Business users. These work invisibly to block bots while letting real users through.
Can someone vote multiple times on my poll?
We prevent duplicate votes using a combination of IP address tracking and browser fingerprinting. Pro and Business plans get enhanced fingerprinting that's much harder to bypass, even with VPNs or private browsing.
What is browser fingerprinting?
Browser fingerprinting creates a unique identifier based on your device's characteristics like screen size, installed fonts, and graphics capabilities. It helps us detect duplicate submissions even when users try to game the system with private windows or cleared cookies.
How does honeypot protection work?
Honeypot fields are invisible form fields that humans never see or fill out, but bots do. When a bot fills the honeypot, we silently reject the submission. It's simple but remarkably effective against automated spam.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes up to 3 forms and 100 responses per month with full compliance features.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
