What is FavForm?
FavForm is a fast, developer-friendly form builder to create embeddable forms, polls, and widgets in seconds, with built-in consent tracking and audit logs.
What can I create with FavForm?
Forms (surveys, contact forms, registrations with 20+ form blocks), polls (single-question voting with live results), and widgets (floating feedback collectors, NPS surveys, tip jars). All with customizable themes and multiple embed options.
Do I need technical skills?
No coding required. Pick a template or start from scratch, customize the look in the Design step, and grab an embed code or shareable link from the Publish step. Takes minutes.
Can I embed forms on my website?
Yes. We provide Web Components (recommended) and iframe embed codes for inline forms, popups, and slide-ins. Works with any website — WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Framer, Shopify, React/Next.js, and custom sites.
What's the difference between Web Component and iframe embedding?
Web Components offer better performance, SEO friendliness, and blend with your site's styles. Iframes provide complete style isolation and work even if scripts are blocked. Both are copy-paste simple.
What form blocks are available?
All plans get: short/long text, email, number, phone, URL, date/time, date range, contact info, multiple choice, dropdown, yes/no, color picker, emoji rating, star rating, NPS scale, slider, ranking, text blocks, consent checkboxes, and hidden fields. Pro adds file uploads, signatures, payments (via Stripe), and video embeds with watch tracking.
Can I add conditional logic to forms?
Yes, on Pro and Business plans. Show or hide questions based on previous answers using conditions like equals, not equals, contains, is empty, or is not empty. Great for creating personalized, dynamic forms.
Do you support payments?
Yes. Pro and Business plans can collect payments through Stripe — fixed amounts, variable pricing, line items with quantities, or tip jars with presets. We don't take a cut of your transactions.
Can I use my own domain?
Business plan includes custom domains. Host your forms at forms.yourdomain.com instead of favform.com.
What analytics do I get?
Free: response counts, completion rates, and submission timestamps. Pro adds conversion funnels, device/browser breakdown, trends over time, and behavioral insights. Business unlocks geographic data, traffic sources, UTM tracking, field-level insights, and partial response capture.
Can I customize the look of my forms?
Yes. All plans can customize background color, text color, accent color, and border radius. Pro and Business can remove FavForm branding, add custom thank-you messages, redirect URLs, and enable confetti animations.
How are polls different from forms?
Polls are optimized for quick, single-question voting with optional live results display. Forms support multiple questions with 20+ field types and conditional logic. Polls are anonymous by default and show results after voting.
Can people vote multiple times?
By default, no. We use browser fingerprinting to prevent duplicate votes, even for anonymous polls without requiring sign-in. Note: determined users can still vote using different browsers or devices.
What poll settings can I customize?
Allow multiple selections, show/hide results before or after voting, customize thank-you messages, and style the appearance. Pro plans can also remove branding and add confetti animations.
What are widgets?
Floating feedback collectors that live on your website. Build feedback widgets (star ratings), NPS surveys, contact forms, bug reporters, or tip jars. They use the same form blocks as forms but in a compact, non-intrusive format. Pro and Business only.
Can widgets trigger automatically?
Yes. Set widgets to appear on button click (default), always open, after a time delay, on scroll percentage, on exit intent, or when a specific element is clicked. Great for capturing feedback at the right moment.
Can I control where widgets appear?
Yes. Configure page rules to show/hide on specific URLs, hide after submission or dismissal, set dismiss duration, and enable/disable on mobile devices.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers. We use Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Pro and Business plans can export responses to CSV. You always own your data.
How do you prevent spam?
All plans get IP-based rate limiting. Pro adds honeypot fields and browser fingerprinting. Business includes CAPTCHA protection and VPN blocking options.
Is FavForm GDPR compliant?
Yes. We provide consent capture with version tracking, data retention controls (auto-delete after a set period), and you can export or delete any respondent's data on request. Consent checkboxes can link to your privacy policy and terms of service.
What happens when I delete a form?
You choose: delete all responses immediately, or keep them according to your retention settings. Full control is yours.
Can I password-protect my forms?
Yes, on Pro and Business plans. Add a password requirement so only people with the password can access your form.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free includes unlimited forms, polls, and widgets with up to 100 responses per month. No credit card required.
What do paid plans add?
Pro ($19/mo or $15/mo annual): 10,000 responses, file uploads, signatures, payments, conditional logic, remove branding, 5 team members, 30-day activity logs. Business ($49/mo or $39/mo annual): unlimited responses, custom domains, webhooks, API access, Slack integration, unlimited team members, 90-day activity logs.
Can I change plans?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at your next billing cycle.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. No questions asked.
What counts as a response?
Each form submission, poll vote, or widget response counts as one response. The limit is across all your projects combined per month.
How many team members can I add?
Free: just you. Pro: up to 5 team members. Business: unlimited team members. Team members can collaborate on forms, view responses, and manage settings.
Can I connect FavForm to other tools?
Business plan includes webhooks (send data to Zapier, Make, n8n, Pipedream, or your own server), API access for custom integrations, and native Slack notifications. Google Sheets, Notion, and Zapier native integrations are coming soon.
Do you have an API?
Yes, for Business plan users. Full REST API to create forms, fetch responses, and manage your account programmatically. See our API documentation for endpoints and examples.
Can I get notified of new responses?
Pro plans get email notifications. Business adds Slack integration for instant channel notifications and webhooks for real-time alerts to any system.
How do webhooks work?
When someone submits a response, we send the data to your specified URL in real-time. Use this to trigger automations, sync to databases, or integrate with any service that accepts HTTP requests.
